This Position requires someone who has, at a minimum a high school and associates College degree with a background in Health Care Management. Specifically, having a background in Skilled Home Health care Billing, scheduling and Private insurance Authorizations for patient care. Very good phone communication skills are a must and being able to identify the right person to speak with for insurance authorization questions. Being highly skilled in word, excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint is a must along with using scanners to create PDF files and send to government intermediaries in a timely manner is a must. Familiar with using HIPPA compliant email and databases to send/receive patient info to proper agencies for audits, billing and patient care is needed.
This is an office management position and requires leadership skills and organization skills helping to report payroll numbers every 2 weeks to an accountant along with printing 4-5 reports at a minimum on patient census weekly helping to lead a case conference with field clinicians along identifying Accounts Receivable reports to track ALL payments coming into the HOME HEALTH company. Being able to work closely and professionally with other healthcare professionals is a must and having familiarity working with accounting is important. This position would require being able to work closely with the Director of nursing (DON) and vice PRESIDENT of the company along with clinical manager to ensure ALL patients are entered into our Software system and scheduled properly. Ability to orient our new clinicians and employees using our software and tablets once trained, and understanding some new employee training sessions may need to be on 1 or 2 Saturdays every few months.
Accountability on a daily basis from 8 AM to 5 PM is a must with flexibility for earlier or later hours depending on preference. Starting hours can be PRN working to more FT hours (40 hours a week minimum required for this position) based on training required & progress, but the goal will be a FT position working in an office setting. This position would allow growth opportunity working from home at times (especially once office objectives are accomplished on a continual basis) having access to data using a software program and being able to perform “some” duties from home when needed.
This is definitely a leadership position and would be considered a Corporate position as the company grows tied into a quality assurance committee and Governing Body. The applicant needs to be looking to progress personally, but professionally as well to grow with our company along with helping to add new team members as we achieve a common goal.
