DATA SCIENTIST: This position will serve as a primary resource for all Translational Outcomes initiatives, actively seeking opportunities for analytics projects and creation of better evidence-based decision making tools. This will be accomplished through collection and analysis of complex data, development and implementation of Translational Outcomes plans and related analysis, project management, and implementation of Big Data efficiencies and enhancements and other related program initiatives as assigned. Applies machine learning algorithms using quantitative modeling tools to create, analyze, review, evaluate, and monitor activities. Will collaborate with key clinical and management stakeholders to communicate and technically support findings and make recommendations regarding organizational Translational Outcomes relative to various hospital departments. Cultivates mutual respect and confidence in relationships with clinicians and management, providing reliable judgment, accountability, accuracy, and integrity. Direct report to the Manager Predictive Analytics.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
DESIRED EDUCATION: Master’s Degree Computer Science.
OTHER EDUCATION: Master’s Degree Quantitative Analysis, Business Analytics, Biostatistics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related discipline.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 3-4 years Technical Statistics Quantitative Analysis, Business Analytics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or related discipline.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE 5-7 years Quantitative Analysis, Business Analytics, Biostatistics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related discipline.
MINIMUM SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, data analysis, project management, consulting with subject matter experts. Knowledge of client consultation principles and client deliverables.
PREFERRED SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of machine learning algorithms, statistical methods and modeling, data analysis, data visualization techniques, simulation, optimization, natural language processing, big data platforms, clinical processes, electronic medical records systems (preferably EPIC), project management, clinical consulting with subject matter experts.
