POSITION SUMMARY

The HR Generalist is responsible for providing HR support to the Director of HR while overseeing the functions of the department and facility. This position is responsible for recruiting, conducting general employee orientations, administrating and conducting employee benefits, assist in various employee relation issues, work related injuries and processing Workers’ Compensation, administers plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee policies and procedures manual; compiles and retrieves personnel data, actions, and changes with appropriate timeliness; and ensures the confidentiality of all data and information. 

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:  Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or related field is preferred; Associate’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Experience:  Minimum three years of Human Resources experience.  Prefer hospital setting experience or Human Resources certification. Must have at least one year supervisory experience.

Knowledge of crisis prevention intervention techniques.

2.       Prior knowledge of principles and practices of human resources.

3.       Prior experience with an HRIS database.

4.       Skill in organizing and prioritizing workloads to meet deadlines.

5.       Skill in telephone etiquette and paging procedures.

6.       Effective oral and written communication skills.

7.       Excellent interpersonal skills.

8.       Ability to accept direction and adhere to policies and procedures.

9.       Ability to use good judgment and to maintain confidentiality of information.

10.    Ability to work as a team player.

11.    Ability to demonstrate tact, resourcefulness, patience and dedication.

12.    Ability to problem solve, utilizing good judgment.

13.    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and tolerate a variety of repetitive tasks.

14.    Ability to meet department, hospital, and corporate deadlines.

15.    Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.

16.    Ability to multi-task.

17.    Excellent computer literacy.
