FirstLight Home Care of Honolulu is seeking a Home Care Sales Representative, also known as Community Liaison, responsible for generating revenue through field sales. FirstLight provides non-medical home care for seniors, people with disabilities, those recovering from illness, injury or surgery, mothers just home from the hospital, veterans, and anyone who needs some extra help. Also, responsible for some areas of human resources and caregivers. This individual directly interfaces with applicants and caregivers with the recruiting and retention process.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in healthcare management, marketing, public relations, business development or social services preferred – Equivalent experience may be considered

Two years sales or similar experience

Knowledge of the healthcare industry and the home care market preferred

Strong organizational skills required and comfortable with electronic documentation of networking activity

Ability to work independently and be accountable for results

Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

Clean, professional image, behavior and demeanor are expected

Able to provide work references

Satisfactory background (including criminal history) and drug screening results
-
Must be a citizen of the United States and speak fluent English

Good driving record, valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for use on the job
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Identify, evaluate and prioritize potential referral sources in the Honolulu area
-
Develop and execute on a sales plan to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual growth targets
-
foster productive relationships with referral sources via presentations, face to face contacts, phone calls, meetings, etc.

seek out at least 35 connections per week – a mix of medical and non-medical, new (cold) and follow up calls
-
participate in networking groups or events, primarily as they relate to the home care market
-
update prospects, clients, and referral sources and track networking efforts in database
Work with other members of the FirstLight team to monitor goals as they pertain to the sales strategy
Demonstrate a thorough and complete knowledge of FirstLight including our purpose, vision, values and mission; the services provided and how we differentiate ourselves from others in the home care industry

establish and maintain brand awareness through referral source contacts, trade shows, conferences, and community education efforts

represent the company in a professional, competent and responsive manner

maintain standards of high-quality customer service

follows all applicable laws, rules and recommendation for safe driving while on duty
Perform other reasonable related tasks to support the operations of this business, such as but not limited to an initial evaluation of services for potential clients
Performs tasks within the Human Relations department, such as:

Initiates the recruiting and hiring process for caregivers including processing applications, background screening, testing, interviewing, and reference validation.

Orients and trains caregivers and maintains current caregiver files in accordance with policies and procedures.

Records employee information such as personnel data, compensation, benefits, tax data, attendance, performance reviews, evaluations, and termination date and reason.

Supervises caregivers and completes performance appraisals for caregivers at specified intervals. Assists in employment decisions including hiring and termination.

Understands and adheres to established FirstLight Home Care policies and procedures.

May perform continuing and ongoing caregiver training.

Understands and adheres to state and federal labor laws as they pertain to home care agencies.

Participate in the quality assurance reviews and evaluations of the agency’s services
