Registered Nurse / RN – Operating Room

Shriners Hospitals for Children – Galveston is the leader in the fields of acute burn injury treatment and rehabilitation.  We are seeking a Registered Nurse in our Operating Room.

The Registered Nurse / RN is responsible for:

• provides nursing care to patients within the Operating Room, utilizing special skills, knowledge and judgment in observing and reporting symptoms and condition of the patient.
• administers highly specialized therapy with complicated equipment
• gives medication and treatment under the direction of the physician
• demonstrates clinical competence to the unit assigned
• works closely with the Surgical Technologist to ensure the orderly functioning of the unit.

Shriners Hospitals for Children serves children and families affected by Pediatric burn injuries.  We provide this care without regard to the patient’s ability to pay.
