Billing and Medical Records Specialist Behavioral Health

Phoenix Mental Health is expanding to Cincinnati, OH and seeks a professional Billing and Medical Records Specialist located at our Integrative Care Clinic in association with Lighthouse Youth and Family Services. (LYFS) Must have expert knowledge in outpatient Behavioral Health billing in compliance with Ohio redesign and MCO requirements and a thorough understanding of the law pertaining to protected healthcare information as it specifically applies to behavioral health. This Full time position will work onsite.

• Providing billing and collection services for outpatient psychiatric intake and therapy, NP med checks and medical services along with additional services as added
• Provide credentialing and maintenance of credentialing for providers
• Extend friendly and helpful customer service to our patients, team members and LYFS collaborators
• Assist with patient check-in prn
• Serve a key role in the implementation of our new EMR systems

Job Requirements:

A minimum of two years experience in mental health billing and collections

Expert knowledge of mental health billing practices, collections and appeals

Experience with Medicaid and MCO credentialing

Experience with mental health billing in compliance with Ohio Behavioral Health redesign

Experience with administrative functions of clinic, providing assistance with check-in process and patient intake

Successful completion of billing/coding education program
