UWMC’s MOTHER/BABY unit has an outstanding opportunity for a 90% Part-Time (36 hour/week, 12 Hour Night Shift) PATIENT CARE TECHNICIAN. Shift Detail: Thursday/Friday/Saturday 1900 – 0730.
Patient Care Technician provides direct and indirect care to patients and their families under the general supervision of the Registered Nurse. Typical duties include assisting patients with activities of daily living, maintaining a safe environment of care, preparing patients for surgery, close observation of confused patients, transportation, maintenance of equipment and supplies, and clerical tasks. PCTs may serve in several roles, including, Constant Observer and General Unit PCT.
