Details: Newly renovated and remodeled unit that will house observation patients of all types, including cardiac, post surgical and medical surgical. The unit will begin with 12 freshly renovated private rooms and will complete the renovation to add another 8 private rooms. The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who uses the nursing process to provide and direct patient care for a group of patients for a designated time frame. Consistently demonstrates competence, compliance and accurate documentation during care delivery in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, Standards of Practice, and Hospital & Departmental Policies and Procedures. Routinely cares for patients? and families? needs and/or performs department specific activities with excellent organizational skill, efficiency and appropriate fiscal accountability. Continuously synthesizes and evaluates assessment data to gain a comprehensive clinical picture and effectively uses supervisory skills and nursing process to independently and collaboratively anticipate, intervene and deliver excellent patient care. Details: Applicant must maintain active RN license. BLS required, ACLS preferred. 1 year med/surg experience preferred.
