Job Description
Serenity Knolls, located in beautiful west Marin, is seeking Full-Time and Per Diem (as needed) Overnight Clinical Technicians to provide quality care and compassion to clients in our residential treatment program. The ideal candidate will report to our Clinical Coordinator/Lead Counselor and assist clinical staff by providing direct patient supervision and insuring patient safety throughout the night. Prior experience in substance abuse treatment is highly desired.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Be awake and aware of the residents’ whereabouts and activities at all times.
Conduct hourly or half hourly patient rounds.
Assists in waking residents’ on time for breakfast and morning appointments.
Assists with client AMA or other crisis intervention.
Maintains appropriate boundaries with client population refraining from excessive self-disclosure.
Exhibits initiative in doing job duties without needing constant prompting by supervisors.
Client transportation as directed by shift supervisor or nurse shift lead.
Report any concerns, issues, or rule violations that occur to the shift lead and day shift staff.
Minimum Training and Experience:
Education – High School graduate or equivalent.
Experience – Knowledge/experience working with chemically dependent clients preferred.
Certifications – CPR/First Aid.
Licenses – Current valid CA drivers license with a clean record.
Special Requirements – Experience with chemical dependency treatment. If currently in recovery, at least 2 years clean and sober is mandatory.
Age / Gender Specifics – Ability to work with male and female adult substance abuse and dual diagnosis population.
