$1,000 Sign-on Bonus*:
The Longwood Medical Area Childcare Center (LMACCC), located in the Longwood area of Boston, is looking for a full-time Preschool Float Teacher to work 8 hour shifts from Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:30 am and 6:00 pm. The Float Teacher will work in Preschool classrooms, teaching children from 3 years of age up to 5 years of age.
Essential Functions:
- Provide a safe and quality environment that appropriately meets the social, emotional, physical and cognitive needs of young children
- Assist the LMACCC Administration, when appropriate, in the supervision and the general maintenance of all aspects of the classroom program
- Be involved with planning and implementing daily activities and curriculum to help promote positive social, emotional, physical and cognitive development
- Foster positive relationships, interactions and communication between staff and parents, parents and children, and children and their peers
- Serve as a cooperative and supportive member of a team, both in the classrooms and in the Center
Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
- High School Diploma/GED Required, Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
- Preschool EEC Teacher certified
- Strong communication and team player skills
- Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices
- Must be able to lift 35 pounds
Compensation and Benefits:
Pay rate ranges from $16.00-$18.80 per hour depending on education and experience.
