Position Summary

As a Barista you’ll directly contribute to White Bison’s success by providing quality, passionate and exemplary service every time you step behind the counter. It takes a special kind of person to authentically connect with others and deliver specialized service to each and every guest that walks through the door. Our collaborative, inclusive and team-centered environment is the perfect place to grow professionally while contributing to our continued growth! The Barista fulfills duties as assigned by the coffee manager or shift supervisor and professionally represents White Bison.

Your Day-to-day

• Maintain knowledge of register functions.
• Efficiently ring customer orders, following our cash handling guidelines, taking full responsibility for drawer accuracy.
• Each guest that walks through the door is greeted by fast, friendly and personalized service
• Develops a rapport with customers by learning their names, usual drink and food orders.
• Enjoys educating themselves on the various types of coffee, tea, blends and roasts offered by White Bison and loves sharing that knowledge with guests.
• Proficiently brews coffee and espresso drinks according to company standards/recipes.
• Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.
• Maintain and stock all products in the bar/barista area, condiment stand.
• Maintain cleanliness of store, outdoor areas, and bathrooms. Perform cleaning tasks in accordance with the cleaning checklist.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Bring to the Team

• Entry-level experience with a high level of passion.
• Ability to work overtime, as needed.
• Positive outlook and mindset
• Analytical thinker that can multi-task with ease in a high-volume environment.
• Not easily overwhelmed when handling many different tasks while maintaining a 100%, guest focused, attitude.
• Previous experience as a barista or waiter/waitress is preferred, but not required.
• Ongoing training is provided to all baristas regardless of previous experience.
• Willing and able to lift and/or move items up to 30 pounds.
