Job Description
Maleko Personnel is seeking a lighting technician for its client in the Reno/Sparks area. The ideal candidate would be able to diagnose and repair basic lighting and sign outages, install new fixtures and lights for customers. Various tasks include:
o Installs, maintains, and/or troubleshoots basic electrical systems in compliance with the National Electric Code (NEC) and company standards
o Replacing lamps, ballasts, sockets, photo cells and other necessary lighting components.
o Effectively communicates with customers as necessary
o Demonstrates ability to work without direct supervision
o Installs/services various lighting systems, conduit, and basic control systems
o Cleans and maintains job site, tools, and vehicles
o Consistently follows workplace safety procedures
o Works as a member of a team with a positive attitude
Job Requirements
Requirements for consideration:
o Basic hand tools
o Valid driver’s license
o Must pass drug screen
o Clean criminal background
o Proper transportation
o Willingness to travel
o Able to operate aerial platforms such as boom lifts and scissor lifts
o Self-motivated, organized, and reliable, with positive attitude
o Understand and interpret written and verbal instructions
o Able to climb ladders, lift, and work in a variety of weather conditions
o Must be able to lift 50lbs, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks
o Must be able to work in various positions such as stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods of time
o Periodically available for emergency calls at any time
